Well I'm going crazy waiting for 1.5 to deploy, so I thought in the meantime I'd beef up our forums a bit. I'm going to post some tutorial videos on how to acquire various pets in the game on this thread. Please feel free to contribute any that I've missed. Try to make sure any vids you add are fairly clear.
I'll start with the Taunlet pet on Hoth. Remember before you do this that you will need to craft or buy Ice Scrabbler Jerky.
Here's the first video on how to acquire the NVSCCS Gun from grappling gun vendor in Alderaan.
Once you have the gun, this video will show you how to get the pet.
